What’s on in Fitzrovia?

In addition to providing world-class IT support, we always strive to add a little extra. We love working in such a beautiful part of London and have many clients on our doorstep. We keep an eye out for exciting changes and events happening in the local area and want to share them with you!

Despite the typical English Summer, we have been lucky to have had a few weeks of beautiful weather. However, we all knew the Great British rain wouldn’t stay away for long! Hopefully the sunshine will soon return, and if you find yourself with some spare time on a sunny/warm day, you could see whats on the big screen in Regent’s Place. They have recently shown live coverage from Wimbledon and this evening at 6.30pm there is a screening of the classic chick flick Mean Girls!

A new feature to Fitzrovia, is the FitzPark. It launched on the 12th July and is a temporary space on Windmill Street, designed to provide relaxation for local residents and workers. The space has been designed by Arup, an independent firm of designers, planners, engineers, consultants and technical specialists. It contains seating and planters, with the aim of promoting health and well-being by improving air quality in the Fitzrovia area. As part of the greater project to improve air quality in the area, all plants have been specifically chosen for their tolerance to pollution, providing the ideal place for rest and relaxation outdoors in Fitzrovia.

We recently held one of our Make IT Happen breakfast sessions on Mindfulness, and the FitzPark would be the perfect place to go and practice! Stepping outside, breathing in some better quality air and relaxing have been proven to provide a whole host of benefits for mind and body, so what are you waiting for?!
