Have you heard about our Microsoft Solutions Partner certifications?

As we highlighted in a previous blog, Microsoft made some major changes to the MS Partner Network in 2022 - fully rebranding the scheme to become the ‘Microsoft Cloud Partners Programme’. The new programme is an evolution of the Partner Network, enabling partner businesses to operate within the single-tier Solutions Partner Designations.

Microsoft Partner businesses are able to work towards gaining a range of Solutions Designations to demonstrate their expertise in specific Microsoft Solutions areas. For example, businesses can gain speciality recognition in areas such as Security, Business Applications, Data and AI, and more. Today we’ll be exploring the Solutions Designations we’ve gained here at Fitzrovia IT, shining a light on our expertise in Modern Work and Azure Infrastructure.

Modern Work

As a Solutions Partner for Modern Work, we have demonstrated our capability to help our clients boost their productivity and make the shift to hybrid work by using Microsoft 365. Due to the dedication of our staff, we are now fully trained and accredited in MS 365 solutions. Our team have worked to attain high markings in three areas related to MS 365; our partner performance; skilling; and client success.

Azure Infrastructure

As a Solutions Partner for Infrastructure, our team have also demonstrated the capability to help our clients accelerate migration of key infrastructure workloads to Microsoft Azure. As a Solutions Partner in this area, the Fitzrovia team have demonstrably delivered Azure solutions that have led to customer success, and have gained the highest accreditations and training in the solution area.

Becoming Solutions Certified

With Microsoft having moved towards a more cloud-based focus, the key goals of the Partner Programme have altered to reflect cloud innovation and client needs. All businesses who were previously certified as partners in the Microsoft Partner Programme will continue to be affiliated, however there will be an increased focus on business proficiency in six specific solution areas tied to the MS Cloud:

  • Data & AI (Azure)
  • Infrastructure (Azure)
  • Digital & App Innovation (Azure)
  • Business Applications
  • Modern Work
  • Security

To attain a solutions partner designation in any of these six areas, Microsoft highlight that ‘partners will need to earn a partner capability score of at least 70 points (out of an available 100 points) across the four measurement areas’. This score allows businesses to validate their demonstrable capability, technical understanding, and proven solutions innovation to prospective and current clients. The score also allows partners to highlight areas for development, if they wish to enhance their partnership level.

Choosing Your Microsoft Certified Partner

If your business uses Microsoft products and services, it’s essential to establish a partnership with a Microsoft Solutions certified organisation. Doing so will ensure you are receiving the services of an enterprise who has demonstrated its capabilities in delivering customer success in MS solution areas, having been recognised as an expert skill provider in your chosen area.

As a Microsoft Partnered MSP, Fitzrovia IT has proven its specialisation in Modern Work and Azure Infrastructure, and is currently working to gain further Solutions Designations in other Microsoft areas. Our team have shown their commitment to training and developing their expertise in Microsoft Solutions areas, and continue to utilise Microsoft partner resources to develop, learn and innovate in-house.
