Just IT Awards: Fitzrovia IT Named Finalists for 2 Awards

Just IT announced today that Fitzrovia IT has been shortlisted for two awards in The Just IT Apprenticeship Awards 2019. 

Designed to recognise outstanding achievement in IT and Digital, The Apprenticeship Awards brings together leading IT apprentices, employers, and relevant bodies. The awards are put on by Just IT, the award-winning provider of IT Training & IT Apprenticeships who have helped nearly 6000 IT professionals start their careers since 2001.

This year, Fitzrovia IT has been recognised as a finalist for the Apprenticeship Employer of the Year Award. First-year apprentice Tom Murray has individually been shortlisted for the Apprentice of the Year Award.

“We couldn’t be prouder of our company and especially our first-year apprentice, Tom,” said Dan Stanbury, Director of Fitzrovia IT. “We have spent eight years developing our apprenticeship programme, The Fitzrovia IT Academy, and it is something we are incredibly passionate about. Each year we are amazed with the quality of apprentices that enter our training scheme. To be shortlisted for both of these awards is a testament to the team-player mentality of all of our apprentices.”

Just IT shared the sentiment on their official page, “For as long as we have been helping young people into Apprenticeships, we have been on the receiving end of success stories from employers who couldn’t be happier with the effect they have had on their company.”

The awards will be held 7th March at BCS London, with guest speakers including:

• Tony Pitchford – BCS Key Account Manager for Apprenticeships.
• Joshua Uwadiae – Microsoft Lead Apprentice Ambassador and owner/entrepreneur of WeGym and Bouncy Bros.
• Graham Hunter – CompTIA Vice President Skills Certification EMEA.
• Anthony Impey MBE – Chair of Government’s Apprenticeship Stakeholder Board and Owner/Founder of Optimity a pioneering tech company.

The Fitzrovia IT Academy is Fitzrovia IT’s leading apprenticeship programme. Since 2012 The Fitzrovia IT Academy has welcomed eight young professionals into our three-year training scheme, providing the resources necessary to build a foundation for a thriving career in IT. We are proud to retain many of our apprentices as permanent staff members, with our very first apprentice, Ryan Varney, celebrating his eighth year with the company.
