The recent high-profile cyber attacks are yet another reminder to businesses that no computer network is safe from online fraud. If you run a company or an IT department you’re sure to be asking yourself “What can I do to avoid being targeted?”
At Fitzrovia IT we’re convinced that education is the first step towards protecting against cybercrime. With this in mind we’ve organised a free breakfast workshop aimed specifically at uncovering the dark arts of the cybercriminal, and raising awareness on how to minimise your risk.
Expert Jason Hart will host the workshop, sharing his unrivalled expertise as a former ‘ethical hacker’. Jason has 24 years’ experience in the Information Security industry and regularly appears on TV and in newspapers, including the BBC, ITV, Radio 5 Live and Sky News as well as the FT, The Guardian and The Times.
During the 45-minute session Jason will delve into the underworld of the cybercriminal network, including tricks and techniques used to dupe targets. He’ll explain why data is the ‘new oil’ – and why fraudsters are determined to mine companies for valuable confidential information.
Jason says:
“Data breaches are going to get worse, they are going to cause more damage, and most of us simply are not aware of how little we are doing about it. Data integrity attacks have the power to bring down an entire company. We need to think differently, to develop a new mindset in order to mitigate the risks.”
The event is scheduled for 8.00am arrival with an 8.30am start. Breakfast is included, and after Jason’s presentation there will be a chance to ask questions and discuss issues relevant to your business.
Our breakfast workshop is free to attend and spaces are limited. To register your attendance, or to find out more, please get in touch either via our contact form or call Georgina on 020 3727 6021.
