Here at Fitzrovia IT, we’re used to a fast-paced working environment. It’s our job to keep up-to-date with the very latest IT solutions, to protect our clients against cybercrime or computer outages, and to deal with any unexpected disasters that might occur.
There’s no doubt that IT is an exhilarating industry to work in, but we recognise the importance of keeping a good work/life balance to help our staff remain fresh and focused. We’re proud of our Investors in People accreditation, which demonstrates our ongoing commitment to ensuring Fitzrovia IT employees are happy and productive in their roles.
For the next in our series of free breakfast workshops, we thought we’d investigate the ‘mindfulness’ trend, and how it might help companies become more efficient and resilient. Is it possible that mindfulness – whether applied to your IT systems management or elsewhere in your business – can give you the tactical edge?
We’re delighted to announce that our workshop host is Pamela Major, a former diplomat and Head of Coaching at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office. Now an expert coach at the leading Mindfulness at Work organisation, Pamela will introduce us to the neuroscientific principles behind the mindfulness revolution.
Pamela says:
“Employees are much more able to thrive in the workplace and beyond if they can remain focused and objective, be responsive rather than reactive, show compassion to themselves and others as well as build trust with their colleagues and other stakeholders. Mindfulness training can be such a helpful tool to enable people to build these resources.”
This free workshop promises to be a fascinating and practical session, and it’s sure to fill up fast. If you’re interested in coming along, please get in touch to register your attendance either via our contact form or call Georgina on 020 3727 6021 to book your place.
